iPhone 6 plus bendgate

If it is true that Apple’s new iPhone 6 bends in your pocket, it is probably not a feature the tech giant would be proud of.

"It's thought that the issue is simply because the 6 Plus is so much larger and thinner than previous phones, that the aluminum case simply doesn't have enough strength proportional to its length," The Independent reports.

It emerged today that the iPhone 6 is susceptible to bending when carried in a pants pocket - even just a handful of hours. Apple has refused to comment on 'bendgate' - even as online memes began to emerge mocking the company for the dubious durability of its product.

Apple has said that iPhones, do not bend easily with normal use. Out of millions of iPhones sold in six days, only 9 customers have had a bent iPhone 6 Plus. Apple’s market value decreased $23 billion as shares lost 0.4%.

Apple denies any manufacturing errors. It says that the iPhone has titanium inserts and the strongest glass in the industry to keep the iPhone from bending.
