Google Domains (Beta) sold Google.com for $12

It was 29 Sept 2015, a former Google employee, Sanmay Ved who bought Google.com for $12 and owned it for one minute before Google Domains systems kicks in and retrieved it back.

Google Domains (Beta) was released for public in the early year 2015 and only available for US. Now the year 2016, Google Domains no longer in Beta but still not available for other country.

Ved soon report the matter to Google Security and 2 weeks after he received reward from Google for a certain amount of money for discovering the bug. The amount was disclosed in Jan 2016 Google Security blog as to be $6,006.13, which also spelled-out Google, numerically.

Google Security Reward Program was launched in 2010, basically giving out bounty to researchers who discovered bug in Google products.

The whole story might sound like domain flipping business, but it might actually turn out to be Google rewarding program.
